The 13-amp, 2.3 horsepower motor features ball bearing construction that delivers twice the life of its predecessor. The compact design is ½ pound lighter, reducing user fatigue, and offers a foot plate that is six inches wide, increasing stability. Skil puts a priority on safety by including an anti-snag lower guard for safer cutting and a lock-off switch and guarded trigger to minimize accidental motor starts. A rear lever depth-adjustment allows for quick cut-depth changes, and a two-point line of sight to ensure cutting accuracy.
